The challenge Neurodivergent people face

An enormous amount of societal stigma still exists around Neurodivergent conditions, and that is why so many neurodivergent people mask in the places we spend most of our time; at work and school. These are the very places we are expected to perform our best.

We perceive and navigate our environment differently, so why are our needs not considered when designing systems and processes we're expected to function in?

So many neurodivergent people have wasted years adapting the way we function, ignoring our natural processing style, so we can fit in.

Why is it a problem for Neurodivergent people at work?

Many of us need to work harder and longer, to perform in a way that is not conducive to get the best out of us.  Some neurodivergent people have been masking for years, which puts them at increased risk for mental health issues and burnout. These people have a higher risk for job loss and unemployment.

Research is only now exploring the affect of hormones and menopause on Autistic and ADHD woman, who can be vulnerable to discrimination at work. Some with additional chronic illnesses in addition to being Neurodivergent.

It's time for change.

We deserve an even playing field – one which will give us a chance of reaching our full potential.

We want to flourish, not only survive.
